Featured Plans 3: Handcrafted Log Post & Beam Designs

On this page we have a couple of our favorite handcrafted log post & beam designs. From The Yankee Handcrafted Series you will find The Boulder Lodge and The Clearcreek Valley. Custom designed by White Eagle Building Systems Inc., these plans feature large scale log post & beam architecture and in the client's choice of Spruce, Douglas Fir, or Western Red Cedar log materials.

By request, we will also supply these designs in our Timber Framed, full Handcrafted log wall, in MillCrafted log or timber framed, or our TimberCrafted package selections.

Of Special Note: The Boulder Lodge was featured in the March 2003 issue of Log Home Living, and was selected by the layout editing staff as the featured plan to open the plans section of the magazine. That particular issue of the magazine was devoted to specially recognized log and timber frame designs, an annually published issue.

The Boulder Lodge

Plan Description, The Boulder Lodge. 3,846 square foot of finished space on the top two levels, and including:

	An open floor plan for the great room, kitchen, and dining area, looking up to the upper loft.
	An attractive main level master bedroom & bath suite, including amply sized "his and hers" closets.
	An octagonal shaped front dining/sunroom with exposed log beams and posts.
	A main level study/office with interior glassed walls.
	A main level laundry, mud room, and pantry.
	A vaulted great room and stoned fireplace, with lots of glass and light.
	A three car garage with an optional bonus room above.
	A beautiful handcrafted log stairs and mortised and tenoned log railings are a focal point.
	Two upper level bedrooms, an upper study, and an open upper loft.
	A welcoming gabled front entry porch.
	A spacious rear deck and porch, complete with mortise and tenoned log hand railings.

Optional Finished Walkout Basement, 2,605 additional square foot, and including:

A guest bedroom, a full bath, a family room, multiple storage rooms, plus glass and a spacious lower terrace.

Bold lines and large scale log post and beam architecture are at the heart of this design.

Package Description, The Boulder Lodge. Scandinavian full log post & beam architecture, and in the client's choice of Spruce, Douglas Fir, or Western Red Cedar log applications. Logs expertly fit, diameters average 12"-14", with butts often 20" or more.

Package Options: Timber Framed, Handcrafted Log Wall, MillCrafted, or TimberCrafted package selections.

Log Wood Species Options: Engelmann Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, Douglas Fir, & Western Red Cedar.
